What is website support?

Website support covers the ongoing technical care of a website or web application. This includes fixes, updates, maintenance, performance improvements, security issues and enhancements as they arise, ensuring your site remains stable, secure and fit for purpose over time. Is website support the same as web support?

Yes. Website support and web support are often used interchangeably. Both refer to the ongoing technical support, maintenance and improvement of a website or web application. At Mainstay Digital, our website support services cover everything typically included under web support, alongside structured website maintenance where required.

Do you have website support packages?

No we don’t. We believe there should be no wasted dollars on unused monthly support hours. For this reason, we bill only for what’s used, and therefore only for what you need.

How do I contact my website support team?

Support requests can be submitted to support@mainstay.digital. A ticket is then raised with a unique ID. Communications and pertinent information is then all captured on the individual task.

Does time accrue month to month?
As we bill ad-hoc so there’s no need to worry about unused monthly hours.
What are your rates?

We bill a flat $105 + GST per hour for WordPress website support, and $105 per hour plus GST for custom application support.

What if another agency has built my site, or it’s not hosted with Mainstay Digital?

No worries at all – we manage lots of sites on 3rd party hosting. We’ll conduct a free of charge audit to assess what’s involved with supporting and maintaining your site via a website health check.

What happens if I have an urgent issue or my site is down?

If a support request is deemed business-critical, you can include “URGENT” in the subject line and the request will be actioned with immediate priority. Response to the ticket submission will be within 1 hour and rectification as soon as possible. You can also escalate to a team member and reach them by phone if required.

Are there any lock-in contracts?
No. None at all. If you’re unhappy with anything, you’re under no obligation to continue with our website support services.
What are your SLAs?

Support requests assume up to 1 hour is pre-approved for investigation and rectification. In the event more time is needed, we advise an estimate and seek approval before progressing, or provide an estimate for a project. We’ll acknowledge submission within 2 hours, with our reach goal within 1 hour. If we have questions or need clarification we’ll include in the acknowledgment. Issue resolution or action policy is within 48 hours, with our reach goal on the day / 8 hours.

When is Support available?

Support is available from 8.30am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. Out of hours support is an option, however it is subject to limitations on weekends and public holidays, availability, and must be scheduled.

Support can be used for functional changes or fixes, site administration, migrations, security, performance, and any other technical support.
